Why the Wilson Performs Better The Wilson Dual-Band Cellular Trucker Antenna was carefully designed to minimize loss and maximize gain at every step. In order to design the best dual band truck mount antenna possible, Wilson focused on 2 major areas. The first is the antenna itself which must have its gain maximized both on the 800 MHz band and also on the 1900 MHz band. Wilson accomplished this by using a phasing coil and a low loss coaxial phase reversing device that provides high gain on both frequencies. The second design area is the ground which allows proper antenna return currents on the lower 800 MHz frequency as well as the higher 1900 MHz frequency. Wilson's design makes the dual band trucker antenna independent of the ground where the antenna is mounted. This means it is a true "no ground" antenna and will work excellent on the new fiberglass body trucks as well as the standard metal body trucks. The antenna is also designed with an elevated feed system so that the antenna can get as high as possible to maximize signal strength. Wilson's innovative design results in high efficiency and low losses and will get the most signal to your cellular phone. In addition to dropout and noise reduction, the Wilson Dual-Band Trucker Antenna eliminates microwave energy radiating into the head. This is achieved by channeling all of the energy out through the external antenna.

Antenna Installation · If you use a knife to remove your antenna from its packaging, be sure not to cut the cable. · Screw the three radials into the three holes under the plastic coil housing. Liquid Thread Lock must be used to ensure the radials do not vibrate loose over time. The radials must be tightened snugly with a crescent wrench. · For best performance it is important to get the antenna as high up as possible. The radials should be no lower than the top of the truck cab. · Mount the cellular antenna at least 8 inches away from any other antennas to avoid interference. · Any antenna mount that has a standard 3/8" X 24 thread female receptacle will work with your antenna. Secure the antenna onto the mount by tightening with a crescent wrench or 9/16 open end wrench. CAUTION: Do not over tighten. · Route the 10.5' of cable from the antenna to the cellphone's location. · Connect the male FME connector from your adapter to the female FME from your antenna cable. · Connect your adapter to your phone as per the instructions in the following section titled "Attaching your phone to the Adapter"
